I've always been fascinated by the workspace of people who's art I enjoy, the tools they use and the things they use as reference or even inspiration. I first want to wish Paolo Rivera godspeed on his move to the west coast and thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to make a video tour of your former workspace.
One thing that I want borrow from Paolo is the metal desk with magnets on his pencils, pens rulers and brushes for easy access. So if your looking for ideas for your work space, this guys got his act together, check out the video below:
Just click on the link attached to Paolo Rivera's name on this article to see some of his amazing artwork or just check him out on his current run on Marvel's Daredevil.

Scott McCloud's Comic Lettering Tutorial ( ILLUSTRATOR CS4 )
Hand letting a comic page has always seemed to me as a daunting task that I'm honestly
not good at and now thanks to the miracles of modern computing, it doesn't seem so intimidating.
Creator of the indie comic ZOT! and author of super insightful Understanding Comics, Making Comics,
Reinventing Comics The always insightful Scott McCloud has posted a great video tutorial on how
to create a template in Illustrator ( any CS version ) that will make any lettering assignment a breeze.
The tutorial is broken up into Two , 10 minute clips, I hope you find them as interesting as I did.
Enjoy:

INKING WITH DOUG TENNAPEL
Since I'm taking my sweet ass time with inking my artwork, I thought I might look at someone who has a better command of the inking process.
Doug Tennapel is an indie comic artist and illustrator best known for his work on the Earthworm jim Video games ( available now on the Sega Genesis!) jokes aside he's a fun artist who knows what he's after when he's inking his work.
The one thing I'm learning as I ink on the computer is that you can't recreate those delicious little changes in line weight that happen when you ink with a brush or quill. you can try to recreate those subtle organic effects on a PC but it just doesn't come out the same.
Check out the video, it's a quick 10 minutes, if you've ever flirted with the idea of inking you own doodles, you'll like this video.
(Especially when he cleans his brushes with his mouth.)
