Boss....Da Train....Da Train....

Growing up in NYC in the late 70's early 80's, I kind of miss the Brightly colored "tagged" up Trains of my youth. Don't get me wrong, a lot of the cars looked like shit when several hundred “taggers” got their dirty krylon cans on a train car.

On a rare occasion, you would catch a glimpse of a freshly painted piece on a train with characters, bubble letters, Smurfs, Robots etc. by someone with skills, untouched by the spray can of a hack out to destroy something out of jealousy, as a wide eyed kid waiting with my parents on a platform, it was the coolest thing I had ever seen, it was Art.

They’re doing it now in Japan, but now with the governments blessing and sponsorship. New York, the birthplace of subway graffiti should embrace the art form and create a line of tricked out train cars done by talented artists willing to do pieces on our modern fleet of train cars, then add the spray paint proof coating over the artwork to keep vandals from
Fucking it up.
